Hi, my name is jessie alexander

  

I am an Intuitive Energy Healer and Mindfulness coach, using my gifts to work with the body’s natural energetic field. I utilize my intuition, vision, and energy to locate, shift or remove imbalances in the body’s energetic system.


Reiki and Mindfulness is a daily practice for me.  I lived with chronic back and joint pain for over 15 years.  I was desperate to find relief and felt frustration as an unseen and unheard patient.  Many visits to the clinics over the next 13 years only to be left with no answers to why I HURT!  Eventually I would be diagnosed with fibromyalgia and would have to acceptance my fate until I no longer existed.  Mind consuming pain every day is mentally and physically exhausting, I was tired of living this way.   For the last two years I've been pain free, Reiki and my mindfulness practice I cleared the energy blockages and energy I stored in my body over the years.  With my mind quiet and my energy flowing freely, it's allowed my body to heal.

Reiki, pronounced ("ray-key"), is a holistic energetic healing practice involving hands-on touch. In Japanese, "Rei" can be interpreted as spiritual consciousness, and "Ki", also known as chi or prana, is the life force energy which circulates through all living beings. Although there is some question as to Reiki's roots, it was rediscovered in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui in the mid-1800s.  Reiki aims to balance the body's energy centers and the overall flow of energy throughout the body, reinforcing its innate self-healing ability. Reiki reinforces the body’s natural ability to heal and supports overall health and well-being on all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

You may experience the energy in the form of sensations like heat, tingling or pulsing where I place my hands.  Sometimes, people feel sensations moving throughout their body.

A Healing Reaction (the term I prefer) may appear as physical symptoms following a Reiki treatment. Reactions can manifest as extreme fatigue, headache, nausea, cold or flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset, mental or emotional upset, or a temporary intensification of the symptoms of a chronic condition or illness. A Healing Reaction indicates that the body is detoxifying in preparation for healing.

  •   suffers from a chronic condition, or a condition that has existed for more than three weeks.
  • experiences a chronic high level of stress.

  • Generally, healing reactions do not last more than a few days but can continue for a week or longer.

 A mental state achieved by focusing your awareness on the present moment, while acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.


 To live mindfully is to live in the present moment, rather than dwelling on the past or anticipating the future. To be mindful is to observe thoughts, feelings, sensations in the body in an objective manner. Mindfulness can therefore be a tool to avoid self-criticism and judgment while identifying and managing difficult emotions.

    A person’s experience of time tends to be subjective and heavily influenced by their emotional state. Fears and insecurities about the past and the future can make it difficult to fully appreciate the present moment. The key is learning how to bring your awareness to the now.
